Vipawa Children’s Art Museum (VCAM)

Vipawa Children’s Art Museum (VCAM)
Founded in 2017, Vipawa is a private museum located in the heart of Jinja City. Passionate about fostering self-expression and creative thinking through the arts, it supports children's development by encouraging exploration, discovery, curiosity, and play. Its vision is to become Africa’s pioneering Children’s Art Museum, born out of the need to nurture children's abilities from an early age and support their social and cognitive growth. The Museum provides interactive learning to learners of ages 3- 15 years.

The team at VCAM believes that creative thinking is an innate gift in every child. Through performing arts, literacy, and visual expression, they help shape children’s abilities and enrich their means of communication.

As children engage with different art forms, they develop a passion for exploration, discovery, curiosity, and play, creating their world in its own unique way.

Their commitment is to offer interactive learning experiences through the arts that ignite inspiration via their exhibits, programs, collections, and research with African communities. They aim to become a recognized leader among the world’s most respected, admired, trusted, and renowned Children’s Art Museums.
