서울상상나라 Seoul Children’s Museum

Seoul Children’s Museum (SCM), located in Seoul Children’s Grand Park, is a dynamic and inclusive learning environment dedicated to 21st-century education through creativity, play, and active participation. Since opening in 2013, the museum has grown into a forward-thinking institution through collaboration with domestic and international partners, interdisciplinary consultation, and the continuous contents development.
SCM offers sensory-rich exhibitions and hands-on programs that integrate nature, art, and play to foster essential future competencies including empathy, resilience, problem-solving, and self-expression. These initiatives reflect the museum’s role as an Educational Lab and its commitment to Education for Humanity.
SCM places a strong emphasis on intergenerational engagement and child-led approaches. Senior play facilitators and children curators actively shape content and experiences, promoting diverse perspectives and intrinsic motivation. Through inclusive, family-oriented programs, the museum welcomes children from all backgrounds.
Looking ahead, SCM remains committed to integrating child-centered insights into its content, tools, and experiences—ensuring it remains responsive to the rapidly changing world.
